Best Swiss Video Clip
We can no longer imagine everyday culture without the music clip. It is both a means of communication and an independent art form. For this reason, the FONDATION SUISA awards a special nomination prize to each of the five nominees for the «Best Swiss Video Clip» at the Solothurn Film Festival in order to promote the music video art of today. The final - hosting the ceremony for both the audience and the jury award - takes place on the occasion of the m4music festival.
The pop music festival m4music of the Migros Culture Percentage,the Solothurn Film Festival and FONDATION SUISA have sought and found for the ninth time the «Best Swiss Video Clip» 2021.
No fewer than 195 artists submitted their music videos to the«Best Swiss Video Clip» 2021.
The 2021 Jury's Award went to the Kenyan female rapper and percussionist Muthoni Drummer Queen for her video clip celebrating the feminist anthem «Power», directed by Mei Fa Tan.
The 2021 Audience Award was won by the Neuchâtel musician and composer My name is Fuzzy (Bastien Bron) for his video clip «Une autre Chanson», which he directed himself.
The prizes, each worth CHF 5,000, will be presented at a digital ceremony.
